Samaritan's Purse 'Operation Christmas Child' was a great success!

Pure In Heart Church has participated in the annual Operation Christmas Child program for a few years now. We are able to say with every year that has passed our church has met and surpassed it's collection goal. This year has been no different. Our church family has collected 60 boxes full of toys for children that are now going to various destinations around the world! God has blessed us with this great opportunity to touch lives around the world.

This year we took one of our Thursday night prayer meetings and used it to have our first 'Operation Christmas Child' Shoebox workshop. The Pure In Heart Baking Squad contributed various cakes and cookies for the event. Janina Crespo, our Samaritan Purse coordinator provided instruction and guidance as it pertained to the preparation of the boxes. That evening we already had boxes completed and ready to go! Thank you Janina for all your hard work and guidance!

As the weeks went by more and more boxes were contributed. The picture below captures the joy and the victory shared by all. Even our children and youth prayed God's grace and traveling mercies over the delivery of each box and that salvation would come to each child that receives one of them. We are already looking ahead to surpass this year's collection count. This is what it means to be a 'Church in the City, Reaching the World'.
