Pure In Heart Church Mercy Mission 2014 Video Presentation / Recap

On April 5, 2014 Pure In Heart Church sent it’s first ‘Mercy Mission’ team to the tornado ravaged small town of Washington, IL. The MMT (Mercy Mission Team) numbered around 20 volunteers and were received with open arms and a bit of shock by on site volunteers who were in great need of assistance and relief themselves.
The MMT were only present for a full day of work within the local donation location. However their impact was considerable as they helped to organize a storage facility containing donated goods for the families who were deeply affected by the set of tragic events.
The MMT did not show up empty handed. They arrived on the scene with a number of items to contribute mostly diapers and laundry detergent which were the greatest needs of the time. Pure In Heart Church is already planning a second visit to Washington, IL and other locations are already being considered. Thank You to all who volunteered, served, labored and contributed to this mission of mercy and service to Washington, IL.
Please take a moment to view the video presentation which was shown to the Pure In Heart congregation just this morning. More to come.

2014 Begins with an opportunity to bless another community in Jesus's name!

“A church in the city reaching the world”. This is the mission statement / vision of our church family. As a church family we have been praying and seeking the Lord for opportunities in this new year to help and volunteer to assist with the serving and blessing of other people. In this way, coupled with prayer, we have sought to share the love of Jesus Christ.

On Saturday, April 5, 2014 Pure In Heart church will be sending out a team of relief volunteers to Washington, Illinois. Washington, Illinois was recently leveled by tornadoes, torrential rainfall and freezing cold weather.  The families and citizens of this small town have gone through a lot and continue to need help, encouragement, materials and prayers. Our goal is to go into Washington, Illinois and serve the community by assisting with the unloading of large trucks that our filled with relief items as well as assist in the distribution of these items to those in need.

We are encouraged and are now preparing for this day long journey. We were informed by those working directly onsite that there is a significant need for diapers and laundry detergent. So we will begin collecting these items from those who would like to contribute but cannot attend to serve. There is no set numerical goal as it pertains to the two listed items. This group will be led by Pastor Peter Negron. If you are interested in the opportunity to serve and or bless (or perhaps both!) feel free to directly email, text or directly contact Pastor Peter Negron.
